Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Ehsan Mani, has refuted the claims that he has submitted his resignation to the patron-in-chief, Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying that the claims are just rumors.

Mani was appointed as the PCB Chairman in September 2018 by PM Imran for three years, and his contract will expire within the next few months. However, sources close to Mani have revealed that he wants to continue in the role and is hopeful of getting an extension.
The former wicket-keeper batsman, Rashid Latif, recently claimed that Mani offered his resignation to the PM. Mani refuted the claim and said that these are just rumors made up by Rashid Latif.
Latif said that he still stands by his story that Mani has officially submitted his resignation.

According to sources, there is little to no chance of Mani being removed from the role before his contract expires, even if he has tendered his resignation. Sources claimed that Mani would remain the PCB Chairman till the end of his tenure in September.
Mani is currently in the United Arab Emirates to attend the International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting, scheduled on 1 June. The agenda of the meeting is to decide the future of the ICC World T20, scheduled to be held in India in October 2021.
PCB’s Director Media, Sami Burni, rubbished the rumors of Mani resigning from his post, saying that he is currently chairing the Pakistani delegation in the UAE, and there is no possibility of him resigning at the moment.
