CAA to Increase Duration Between Domestic Flights

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will increase the duration between domestic flights to minimize the influx of passengers in the departure lounges at airports across Pakistan.

The decision was taken after the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) found serious violations of the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).

NCOC has directed CAA to take action against these violations, hence, the latter has decided not to conduct more than two flights at a time, and has permitted four to five flights within two hours.

The Airports Security Force (ASF) and airport managers (APMs) will ensure compliance with COVID-19 SOPs and will allow only one greeter to attend to one passenger in the concourse hall.

Note that each domestic flight will now operate with a gap of 45 minutes.
