Lately, Yasir Hussain appeared in Iffat Omar’s YouTube show Say It All With Iffat Omar. In the show, Yasir Hussain expressed his disappointment with current Pakistani TV content creators and actors.
Talking about the current television state, Yasir Hussain said, “I rarely get to see good acting on Pakistani television plays. I am a big fan of TV, I saw television by heart, I have watched television a lot in my childhood. We grew up watching dramas like Ankahi, we are accustomed to watching actors like Shehnaz Sheikh, Javaid Sheikh, Saleem Nasir, Qavi Khan, and the plays like Sona Chandi and Andhaira Ujala. We have not been able to produce Qavi Khan after him, You saw Irfan Khan, Manoj Vajpai and others in India, they produced SRK, Salman Khan and now they have Ranveer Singh and others, they create something for themselves”. Talking about roles’ offers, he said, “I get less roles, I get a very few offers because I refuse a lot so the producers assume that I will refuse, most of the drama makers don’t offer me because of this. I choose after a lot of selection. Yes, if some friends ask me to do a certain role, which is up to the mark, I do that. Besides that, I love theater and film mediums. I do hosting for good money”.
