Sajid Hasan is a famous veteran Pakistani television actor who has so far appeared in countless hit dramas. He has been ruling the hearts of the drama lovers from his tremendous performances including Dhoop Kinarey and Nijat. His other noticeable dramas are Balaa, Meri Guriya, Mumkin & Mubarak Ho Beti Hui Hai. Sajid Hasan is also known for his writing skills and he has written many plays. He’s currently getting praise for his brilliant performance in Geo TV’s new drama serial Jaan Nisar.
Recently, Sajid Hassan made an appearance in Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me. In the podcast, he talked about his relationships with Rahat Kazmi and Sahira Kazmi with whom he did his claim to the fame project Dhoop Kinare. He also talked about refusing anti Indian roles deliberately.
Talking about why he doesn’t like actors playing anti states characters, he said, “Currently, I am watching Tiger 3, well, it is anti-Pakistan, all it has is bashing on Pakistan. I don’t like this thing. It is unfair with an actor. I personally don’t like to do such characters. When I was a new actor, we used to have a lot of pressure to do such kind of characters but I refused them, your communication and bond with other countries’ people should not be affected even if they are obnoxious. He further said that Pakistanis should value freedom which was given by Quaid E Azam because he felt suffocation in India. Here is the link to the video:
He also revealed that he worked in a Star Plus drama in 1997. Sajid Hasan revealed that he couldn’t continue it after Kargil war because the situation worsened. He worked in Star Plus’s drama serial Tanha that started airing in 1998. Here is the link to the video:
Talking about his relationship with Rahat Kazmi, he said, “Rahat Kazmi said we should start theatre, I used to do marketing for him. He is my cousin too, we are somehow related to each other. Also, I used to share a very good friendship with him. I was younger than him, he started theatre late. I admit that he brought me into the acting. I worked with Sahira Kazmi a lot, she introduced me to acting. I did Khaleej for her, then she offered me Dhoop Kinare”.
