The shocking news of death of tourists in Murree has left the entire nation in deep grief and pain after at least 23 people froze to death in cars stranded in snowstorm on Saturday. Around 1,000 cars were snowed in and people stuck inside.
As the whole country is moaning over the tragic death of families caused by heavy snowstorm in Murree, many famous Pakistani celebrities also took to social media expressing grief and sadness over the tragic incident. Celebrities requested the entire nation to pray for the departed souls and also for those who are still stuck there facing the adverse conditions, have a look!
Shocked & upset at tragic deaths of tourists on road to Murree. Unprecedented snowfall & rush of ppl proceeding without checking weather conditions caught district admin unprepared. Have ordered inquiry & putting in place strong regulation to ensure prevention of such tragedies.

Where is the cold weather risk plan to mitigate such risk? This includes regulating traffic and “prepping” infrastructure to receive snowfall with adequate weather warning systems in place. My heart breaks for the families who have lost their loved ones needlessly. #Murree

Gut-wrenching what happened at #Muree. Govt must fix responsibility of the erring departments who were ill-prepared to deal with such a grave situation.

Very sad & hurt to see the heart-wrenching videos from Murree. May Allah protect the people. Government should provide every possible relief effort.
Thoughts & prayers with people who have lost their loved ones. #Murree— Shoaib Akhtar (@shoaib100mph) January 8, 2022

I can’t believe that the Government had no plans for #Murree, strict action should be taken against Hotel owners, there should be some limit on the number of tourists. It’s really sad to see the videos from Murree
