Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is one of the most revered writers of Pakistan. He has written both successful dramas and films. He has been the name behind shows like Mera Naam Yousaf Hai, Mere Paas Tum Ho and Landa Bazar while films like Punjab Nahi Jaongi and London Nahin Jaunga also came out of his pen.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar was a guest on Zaviya podcast and spoke about Hollywood and Pakistani films. He said that Pakistani films are creatively far better than Hollywood and he has a specific reason for it.
He said that because Hollywood has greater budgets while we are making films on miniscule money thus we are better than them. He added that if he had that kind of money, he would make much more superior films than Hollywood.
