In Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show, Juvaria Abbasi and her husband talked about their proposal, marriage and societal pressure on elder age women regarding second marriage.
Talking about how they met, Juvaria Abbasi’s husband said, ” We met over a dinner at a common friend’s place, I saw or noticed her first. After our first meeting, we started meeting more often. I started spending more and more time with her because she had concerns about me, like, people are commenting now”. Adeel also revealed that he does textile business and it is his second marriage with Juvaria. Adeel Hussain also revealed that he had no clue about Juvaria Abbasi’s profession and he didn’t know that she was an actress.
Talking about the first meeting, Juvaria Abbasi said, “I didn’t know him, I was meeting him for the first time at the dinner, so! It was just a normal meet up. It was a nice and decent meeting and after that a good conversation started between us”. Have a look at the video:
Talking about proposal, Adeel Haider said, “I proposed her multiple times during our discussions, but for the official proposal, we reunited in Paris, she was there for her work and I joined her. I proposed her in front of Eiffel tower”
She also talked about how society supresses a woman when she takes a decision of second marriage. Juvaria said, “Actually, our society is brutal, like I was blatantly trolled on Anzela’s wedding for the choice my outfits. Not only this, people used to come and say, ‘you are free now as you have fulfilled your daughter’s responsibility; now be prepared to be grandmother’. Some used to say, ‘spend your time in worship now’. People make sure to tell you that you have aged now or your life is ended”
Juvaria Abbasi added, “Everyone was talking about Anzela’s happiness when she got married, no one was concerned about my happiness. Our society is harsh with women who cross their forties and are single”. Here is the link to the video:
Juvaria Abbasi further said, “kids think that parents are their property and they can’t move on in their lives. Many children even develop grudges for their parents who marry and move on in life, it should not happen, children should support parents’ marriages”
