Ali Rehman Khan has been in the industry for many years now. He comes from a theatre background and ended up becoming one of the top leading actors and starred in several films and dramas. He is generally cast as the rich, flamboyant leading man in the dramas who every girl is falling in love with but he has taken a drastic turn now with his on-air drama Guru.
Ali Rehman Khan shocked everyone when he debuted his character Guru Sattar from the drama Guru currently on-air on Express Entertainment. He played an intersex character and how he becomes a father to an abandoned child. He portrayed the character beautifully and sensitively and many people think he will be lifting all the best actor trophies next year.
He was a guest on Imran Ashraf’s Mazaq Raat and talked about how people from the industry tried to scare him off of playing Guru. Many people said that you are established as a “hero” now and taking on such a character will ruin your image. Ali, however, found the character to be fantastic and went ahead with it.

He also explained that the first time he stepped out on the road donning the costume and makeup, he felt what these individuals go through in their real lives. Walking in the streets and the gazes he had on him as Guru made him feel for the struggles of real intersex people.
