Well, recently, he appeared in Nadir Ali’s podcast where he revealed about a shocking incident when he was jailed. He revealed that he spent three days in jail.
Talking about it, he said, “It just happened but I don’t know what was that scene, only Allah knows, but it’s true that there was a pistol in my bag, everyone knows about it, I don’t know from where that pistol came but I had a strong faith as Muslim and later I was clear from it, they investigated it and I was clear. I used to live in Murreed K and it was my first international trip, I was coming to Karachi, obviously, I didn’t check my luggage too many times, at that time there was no trend of checking luggage again and again. I was shocked, they caught me, I still am unaware about guns but it was a pistol. PCB intervened and then I was free after spending 3 nights in jail. They took care of me in jail. PCB helped me. After that, I played cricket and made amazing records. My seniors told me to forget about this horrible incident and focus on the game, which I did”. Have a look at the video:
