The Government of Pakistan is trying to increase the number of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) international flights to facilitate thousands of Pakistani citizens who are stranded abroad as foreign airlines cancel their flights. A report by ARY News said that the government is trying to get PIA to use bigger airbus planes and increase its flights. “The government is mulling to convey directions regarding an increase in flights and use of big aircraft to the PIA aimed at facilitating the stranded Pakistanis,” it revealed. Private schools in Sindh are withholding admission cards of Matriculation students due to non-payment of tuition fees, and hundreds of students have registered complaints with the Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions Sindh (DIRPIS) about it. The Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce, Abdul Razak Dawood on Friday said that Pakistan is a major potential producer of mangoes and predicted that up to 160,000 Metric Tons (MT) of mangoes will be exported in the 2021 calendar year. Dawood added that Pakistani mangoes are in great demand abroad. “We can earn millions of dollars in foreign exchange especially through the value addition of mangoes,” he said while talking to journalists during the ‘Mango Festival’ organized by Centaurus Mall Islamabad.
