The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected global growth to downshift from 5.9 percent in 2021 to 4.4 percent this year. The Competition Commission of Pakistan (‘CCP’) has initiated an enquiry into the suspected cartelization by Primary Dealers (PDs) in the recent auctions of Market Treasury Bills (T-bills) carried out by the Government of Pakistan. A preliminary probe was undertaken due to various concerns raised with respect to the significant rise in the yields for all tenors (3, 6, and 12 months) of T-bills issued by the Government in recent auctions. PTA Imposes Rs. 30 Million Fine on Jazz for Poor Quality of Network

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has imposed a hefty fine of Rs. 30 million on Jazz for low quality of service in over half a dozen cities across Pakistan.
