A few days ago YouTuber CarryMinati was trending at number 1 on Twitter after he released a video titled ‘YouTube vs TikTok- The End’. In the video, Carry is seen roasting Tik Tokers after one Tik Tok user released a video talking about YouTubers and their dislike towards Tik Tok users. Several YouTubers came out in support of CarryMinati after the video was released which got 66 million views in five days. Carry is known for his reaction videos on topics trending on the internet which he posts on his YouTube channel. Now, in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani who too stood in support of CarryMinati spoke to us about his views on Tik Tok users.
Ashish Chanchlani who currently has 18 million subscribers is one of the most popular YouTubers of the country. Talking about Tik Tok, he said, “I am on TikTok. If I call out the app, I will be the hypocrite here but there are certain things on the app that are happening which I am not really happy with. My content gets stolen. I had made a horror video titled 'Aakhri Safar'. The video got 11 mn views on YouTube and somebody cut the videos in parts and posted it on Tik Tok and the video has a total of 100 mn views including all the short clips. So this particular angle I really hate. There have been a lot of times when content gets stolen. I have been trying to get it removed and nothing is happening and that is the reason I had to come on Tik Tok.”
Giving his opinion on the YouTube vs Tik Tok matter, Ashish said, “My reply and perspective on this is that somebody called us out. We were just joking about Tik Tokers in a fun way. Even if I would encounter a Tik Toker I would pull his leg in a light manner. But somebody called us out and said that they do this and that and all the YouTubers got pissed and this entire blast of YouTube vs Tik Tok happened and that is what I feel.”
Talking further about the way people reacted to the YouTube vs Tik Tok debate, Ashish said, “What Carry did is unbelievable. I don't think this has happened with anyone in the world. People had so much interest in this YouTube vs Tik Tok, it went mad. I never expected this. I talked to Bhuvan (Bam) as well. We never expected that the public has so much interest in this and now you can see the response. It is crazy.”
