Producer Ekta Kapoor is relentlessly making sure that she extends her contribution towards those who are affected by the lockdown, in order to curb the spread of Covid-19. This time, she is mobilising the massive fanbase that the TV industry enjoys a unique initiative- ‘Fan ka Fan’. The initiative encourages a fan to mark their donation towards the PM Cares Fund to help fight Covid-19.
Ekta Kapoor took to her social media posted a video urging fans to contribute and wrote, “We may all be in lockdown, but through the medium of television, we continue to be entertained by our favourite stars & shows. An excellent initiative has been launched in an effort to mobilise the massive fan base that the TV industry enjoys.”

This is not the first time that the producer has extended her support towards society during these challenging times. Earlier, Ekta marked her contribution by giving up her one year's worth salary which is over Rs. 2 Crores to help her employees- freelancers and daily wage workers during this period of lockdown.
Ekta also spearheaded an initiative where the top TV producers-actors from Television fraternity united in their fight against COVID-19 to create and spread out a very important video during the current pandemic crisis. The video emphasised on the importance of staying at home.
