Dipika Chikhlia is best known for her role as Sita in the popular television show Ramayan. The show made by Ramanand Sagar is currently being re-telecasted owing to the lockdown. On April 29, the actress turned a year older. In a conversation with a daily, she spoke about her character Sita.
When asked if she will continue to portray her on-screen portrayal of Sita, she said that when they go to small towns people touch their feet and think of her as Sita.
Talking about the success of Ramayan's rerun on TV, Dipika said that if people are enthusiastically watching the show today instead of binge-watching on Netflix then there has to be something special about it. Talking further about the mythological shows made today, the actress said that they didn't live up to its essence. She said that one cannot make a mythological show with bad actors. She concluded by saying that mythology is a difficult subject and is not a social drama.
