Pakistan will soon start the manufacturing of its indigenously developed Coronavirus vaccine, Dr. Tahir Yaqub, a professor at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) has claimed. According to Dr. Tahir, UVAS had developed a COVID-19 vaccine candidate this year in April. The candidate shot was recently administered to a rabbit as part of early-stage clinical trials. The Plenary meetings of the FATF were held virtually from 21-25 June 2021, where its members discussed a range of topics relating to Pakistan’s progress. The Financial Action Task Force (FATF), on Friday, decided to keep Pakistan on the grey list. The FATF has been holding a virtual session in Paris since June 21, which concluded today. The world’s largest cargo aircraft, Antonov An-225 Mriya, landed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Wednesday this week, almost three years after it first entered Pakistan’s airspace. Aviation authorities told reporters that the old Soviet-made plane had made a technical stopover at the airport for at least 21 hours before heading towards Cotswolds, England. Pakistan men’s national cricket team has departed for Birmingham on Friday, 25 June, via Abu Dhabi on a chartered flight for their tour of limited-overs tour of England. In the first punishment under the newly-introduced Parental Protection Ordinance, 2021, a man from Muzaffargarh has been jailed for one month after he was found guilty of torturing and forcefully evicting his parents from their house.
