Many major manufacturers were expected to showcase their new products at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February and perhaps one of the most awaited one was Oppo’s event. Unfortunately, the event was canceled due to the coronavirus concerns and the Oppo event was moved to an online global launch on the 6th of March. The Oppo Watch and Find series was expected to be launched today but the Watch’s event has been postponed and will be revealed on a later date.

Punjab Introduces First Ever Literacy Policy

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government has introduced the first-ever Literary Policy, confirmed the Provincial Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs, and Social Welfare Raja Basharat.
Formally known as ‘Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education (LNFBE) Policy’, it aims to achieve a 100% literacy rate in Punjab by 2030.
Under the policy, the government will undertake numerous public-private partnership projects to provide out-of-school children in distant areas easy access to education.
The Literacy policy was launched by Raja Basharat in the presence of Minister for LNFBE, Raja Rashid Hafeez, and Secretary, Sumaira Samad.

These 8 Pakistani Beauty Creams Have Cancer-Causing Chemicals: BSTI

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has found excessive mercury and hydroquinone in 8 beauty creams made in Pakistan.
BSTI had collected a total of 13 fairness creams imported from Pakistan to assess their composition at its laboratory.
The test results at BSTI revealed that 8 of the products contain harmful chemicals 200 times higher than the acceptable limit.

According to BSTI standards, skincare products are allowed to have 1 ppm mercury and 5 ppm hydroquinone. The acceptable amount of mercury lightens a dark skin tone while hydroquinone removes dark patches from skin.
However, Pakistani skincare creams contain mercury in the range of 193 ppm to 948 ppm and hydroquinone in the range of 434 ppm to 1980 ppm.

Uber Shares Coronavirus Tips For Drivers

As more than 90,000 Coronavirus cases have been confirmed worldwide in the last two months, Uber and Lyft have started giving their contracted drivers advice on how to prevent the potential spread.
Uber, like all the other tech companies around the world, has restricted employees from traveling to countries like China, northern Italy, Iran, and South Korea as a precaution.

Huawei Launches the Budget P40 Lite E in Europe

The Huawei P40 series, or at least the flagship phones in it, are still a few weeks away from launch. This is because the Chinese tech giant has already released the mid-range P40 Lite and has now announced an even cheaper model for the series, the P40 Lite E.
