Kriti Sanon starrer Mimi’s shoot is yet to be completed, says director Laxman Utekar

Kriti Sanon is all set to play the role of a mother for the first time in her career with Laxman Utekar’s Mimi. The movie is a remake of a Marathi hit film, Mala Aai Vhaychya. Kriti has already been away shooting for the film for quite a few months and due to the pandemic, the movie’s shoot had to stop midway. Even though the majority of it has been shot, Laxman Utekar says that there is an entry song with Kriti that is yet to be shot.

The song is supposed to be shot with a few international dancers from the UK and it can’t be done unless international flights are active. They’ve completed the shoot on March 5 and were to begin the post-production work on March 10-15. However, with the entire post-production left to be done, they might face a delay in the release of the film. Even if they wanted to, they couldn’t shoot at home since it’s a big number with several dancers.

Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Irrfan Khan – Manoj Bajpayee starrer aborted

Tigmanshu Dhulia who directed Irrfan Khan in one of his best film Paan Singh Tomar was all set to collaborate with his favourite actor all over again when death made other plans. Dhulia’s proposed film with Irrfan was the story of two friends growing old together. It was originally titled Bichde Sabhi Baari Baari.

It was the story of two friends and their relationship over a period of 35 years. Manoj Bajpayee and Irrfan Khan were cast as the older avatars of the buddies whereas Amit Sadh and Vidyut Jamwal were to play the younger versions of the same characters.
But then Bajpayee opted out. Recalling that aborted project, Tigmanshu says, “It was the story of two friends. After it didn’t work out with Manoj Bajpayee, Irrfan Khan and I were to play the two friends. I had re-titled the film Yaara. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and family put in home quarantine after reaching Muzaffarpur

Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family have been put in home quarantine after they reached their hometown Muzaffarpur, Uttar Pradesh recently. After obtaining the appropriate permission to travel amid nationwide lockdown, they have been placed under the isolation at home following the government guidelines.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, his brother and sister-in-law and mother reached their hometown to celebrate Eid on May 11 and have been placed under mandatory isolation until May 25. As per reports, their samples were taken to test them for Coronavirus and all tested negative.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen in Ghoomketu. Directed by Pushpendra Nath Misra, the movie is a comedy-drama from the viewpoint of an inexperienced writer struggling to make it big in the film industry in Mumbai.
The film will also see special cameos from Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Sonakshi Sinha, Chitrangada Singh, Lauren Gottlieb, and filmmaker Nikhil Advani.

Taapsee Pannu says she’s ready for pay cuts whenever they happen

The economy of our country has taken a huge hit in the wake of Coronavirus and most of the industries have resorted to layoffs and pay cuts to manage their expenses. A lot of people have been wondering how the entertainment industry will go around it during these trying times. In her recent interaction, Taapsee Pannu was asked if the actors are ready to deal with it.

Her reply was that she’s ready for it in case it happens. She further elaborated that because there are no shoots happening, a pay cut is bound to happen and she will readily deal with it when it does.
