Oil Prices Crash 33%, Will Decrease Inflation in Pakistan: Analysts

Oil prices dropped more than 33% after OPEC’s failure to strike a deal with its allies regarding production cuts, causing Saudi Arabia to slash its prices as it reportedly gets to ramp up production, leading to fears of an all-out price war.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude briefly dropped 33.07% to $27.58 per barrel. International benchmark Brent crude futures also plummeted 29.51% to $31.91 per barrel.
Hammered by withering demand due to the coronavirus, the oil market is sinking deeper into chaos on the prospect of a supply free-for-all.

Ramiz Raja Wants Pakistan Team to Use Shadab Khan as an Opening Batsman

Former Pakistan captain, Ramiz Raja has a piece of advice for the Pakistan cricket team and he wants the team management to use the in-form Shadab Khan to open the batting for the national side.
The cricketer-turned-commentator said this due to Islamabad United captain’s brilliant batting display in the ongoing season of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The all-rounder has three half-centuries to his name and he is among the top 5 run-getters in the tournament thus far.
I think Shadab has made a strong case for himself to bat up the order. I don’t see any areas that he might be lacking in as compared to other top-order batsmen in Pakistan. Shadab could actually even open for Pakistan.
He is the second-highest run-scorer with 251 runs in 7 innings at an average of 41.83. For reference, no other Pakistani – not even Babar Azam – is in the top 5.

Man of the Match: Ben Dunk (LQ) Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to field first.

It was the partnership between Alex Hales and Chadwick Walton that meant trouble for the Qalandars as it was raining sixes in the last few overs. Hales went on to make another half-century as he ended up with 80* from 48 while Walton played a handy cameo of 45 runs from just 20 balls. Both hit 5 sixes.
Karachi posted a big total of 187/5 in their 20 overs. Hales was dropped early in the innings by Lahore Qalandars and he later punished them big time.

Jazz CEO Aamir Hafeez Ibrahim sent a strong and honest message about the poor state of women’s workplace inclusion in Pakistan ahead of Women’s Day.
While acknowledging that Pakistani women even in this day and age face workplace bias that adversely affects their careers and professional ambitions, Ibrahim informed that Jazz was countering it by enabling women through a number of ways.
In a tweet thread on Saturday, Aamir Ibrahim said, “Despite several Pakistani women trailblazers, they typically suffer bias in the workplace and find it harder to be hired, get promotions, and get equal pay. At Jazz we work to end workplace bias by reinforcing #EachForEqual.”

Man of the Match: James Vince (MS) Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to field first in a match that was reduced to 9 overs per side due to wet outfield.
1st Innings
Batting first, Islamabad United started off really well. As expected, Luke Ronchi and Colin Munro got going straight away. The openers along with Shadab Khan all got to double figures to set the platform for the lower order to go hard in the death overs.
The middle and lower order, however, lost control of the innings as Multan pulled back the game in their favor by regularly picking up wickets.
Islamabad United posted 91/7 in their allotted 9 overs, setting a target of 92 for the visitors.
2nd Innings
James Vince and Zeeshan Ashraf looked in the mood to finish off the match in only a few overs. James Vince smacked 21 off the second over to set the platform for Multan’s win.
