Bangladesh is likely to host the upcoming Asia Cup, with the official announcement from the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) expected to be made towards the end of March.
Last year, ACC had named Pakistan as the host for the Asia Cup 2020 scheduled for September ahead of the World T20 Championship.
Several reports have now surfaced claiming that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given up the hosting rights of the Asia Cup in exchange for Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) allowing its team to tour Pakistan.

Oil Prices Crash 33%, Will Decrease Inflation in Pakistan: Analysts
Oil prices dropped more than 33% after OPEC’s failure to strike a deal with its allies regarding production cuts, causing Saudi Arabia to slash its prices as it reportedly gets to ramp up production, leading to fears of an all-out price war.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude briefly dropped 33.07% to $27.58 per barrel. International benchmark Brent crude futures also plummeted 29.51% to $31.91 per barrel.
Hammered by withering demand due to the coronavirus, the oil market is sinking deeper into chaos on the prospect of a supply free-for-all.
Brent futures suffered the second-largest decline on record in the opening seconds of trading in Asia, behind only the plunge during the Gulf War in 1991.
Ossama Rizvi, a economic and geopolitical analyst who has a special focus on the Oil markets told ProPakistani,

Ramiz Raja Wants Pakistan Team to Use Shadab Khan as an Opening Batsman
Former Pakistan captain, Ramiz Raja has a piece of advice for the Pakistan cricket team and he wants the team management to use the in-form Shadab Khan to open the batting for the national side.
The cricketer-turned-commentator said this due to Islamabad United captain’s brilliant batting display in the ongoing season of Pakistan Super League (PSL). The all-rounder has three half-centuries to his name and he is among the top 5 run-getters in the tournament thus far.
I think Shadab has made a strong case for himself to bat up the order. I don’t see any areas that he might be lacking in as compared to other top-order batsmen in Pakistan. Shadab could actually even open for Pakistan.
He is the second-highest run-scorer with 251 runs in 7 innings at an average of 41.83. For reference, no other Pakistani – not even Babar Azam – is in the top 5.

Lahore Qalandars have now won two in two and they are truly back in the tournament. Another win or two might see them through to the play-offs. Getting there was transpired by none other than Ben Dunk, who smashed record number of sixes to get two crucial points for his team.
The left-handed Australian batsman turned up the heat yet again to break his own record for the most number of sixes in an innings in PSL history. He had hit 10 sixes against Quetta Gladiators a few days ago, and he hit 12 sixes today was a new PSL record.
Here are some of his sixes:
Just like last time, Dunk turned the game on its head, despite being behind the target for the most of Lahore Qalandars’ innings.
Dunk finished just one short of a well-deserved hundred, and he fittingly hit the winning six to seal it for the Qalandars. His blistering innings included 12 sixes and 3 fours at a strike rate of 247.50.

Match 23: Ben Dunk and Sohail Akhtar Secure Another Epic Win for Qalandars
Lahore Qalandars (190/2) beat Karachi Kings (187/5) by 8 wickets
Man of the Match: Ben Dunk (LQ) Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to field first.
1st Innings
Karachi openers started off cautiously, however, it didn’t pay off as Sharjeel Khan was back in the hut after scoring just 5 runs. After his departure, Babar Azam and Alex Hales added 60 runs for the 2nd wicket to lay the platform. Babar got out after scoring 38 from 29 balls.
It was the partnership between Alex Hales and Chadwick Walton that meant trouble for the Qalandars as it was raining sixes in the last few overs. Hales went on to make another half-century as he ended up with 80* from 48 while Walton played a handy cameo of 45 runs from just 20 balls. Both hit 5 sixes.
Karachi posted a big total of 187/5 in their 20 overs. Hales was dropped early in the innings by Lahore Qalandars and he later punished them big time.

Jazz CEO Vows to End Workplace Bias in Strong Women’s Day Message
Jazz CEO Aamir Hafeez Ibrahim sent a strong and honest message about the poor state of women’s workplace inclusion in Pakistan ahead of Women’s Day.
While acknowledging that Pakistani women even in this day and age face workplace bias that adversely affects their careers and professional ambitions, Ibrahim informed that Jazz was countering it by enabling women through a number of ways.
In a tweet thread on Saturday, Aamir Ibrahim said, “Despite several Pakistani women trailblazers, they typically suffer bias in the workplace and find it harder to be hired, get promotions, and get equal pay. At Jazz we work to end workplace bias by reinforcing #EachForEqual.”
He elaborated that Jazz was pursuing and promoting gender equality not only through enhanced workplace integration of women, but also by harnessing technology to empower them. Ibrahim also rightly pointed to Pakistani women’s poor financial inclusion as a major impediment to their active economic participation.

Multan Sultans (94/1) beat Islamabad United (91/7) by 9 wickets
Man of the Match: James Vince (MS) Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to field first in a match that was reduced to 9 overs per side due to wet outfield.
1st Innings
Batting first, Islamabad United started off really well. As expected, Luke Ronchi and Colin Munro got going straight away. The openers along with Shadab Khan all got to double figures to set the platform for the lower order to go hard in the death overs.
The middle and lower order, however, lost control of the innings as Multan pulled back the game in their favor by regularly picking up wickets.
Islamabad United posted 91/7 in their allotted 9 overs, setting a target of 92 for the visitors.
2nd Innings
James Vince and Zeeshan Ashraf looked in the mood to finish off the match in only a few overs. James Vince smacked 21 off the second over to set the platform for Multan’s win.
In the end, it was a one-sided affair as James Vince scored a quick-fire f..
Engro Vopak: Empowering Women to Bridge the Gender Gap in Pakistan’s Tech Industry
Over the last few decades, technology has drastically shaped the world around us. Yet, the tech industry is largely seen as a “male industry” across the world. Pakistan is no different and, according to [email protected], women represent only 14% of the IT workforce and 13% of IT managers in the industry.
As the issues of women’s rights and gender equality take center stage, socially responsible businesses are now trying to create the gender-equal world we all deserve.
To tackle the gender parity issue in the tech industry and create a pipeline of women in tech, Engro Vopak, and Engro Foundation partnered with CIRCLE in 2018. Under the Tech Karo initiative, Engro has supported the training in tech and life skills, and provided mentoring opportunities for young girls from the underserved community of Lyari and other parts of the city.
