Haider Ali Becomes the Youngest Player to Score a Fifty in PSL

Peshawar Zalmi’s top-order batsman, Haider Ali, has created history by becoming the youngest batsman to register a PSL half-century. The right-handed batsman did it in just 31 balls against Lahore Qalandars earlier today.
The emerging category player is only 19 years old and recently represented the Pakistan Under-19 team in the Cricket World Cup earlier this year.
He hit 4 sixes and as many fours to bring finish with 69 runs off just 43 balls. The youngster is being hailed as a future star and he has already proved to be an asset for Peshawar Zalmi thanks to his blistering strokeplay.
A number of youngsters have graduated from the PSL to represent the national side and cricket experts are touting him to be the next all-format member of Pakistan cricket team.

Ben Dunk Wants Australia Cricket Team to Visit Pakistan

Lahore Qalandars’ hard-hitting batsman, Ben Dunk, has been extremely impressed with the security measures undertaken by the government for the PSL and overall security situation in Pakistan.
During an interview with a local cricket website, the 32-year-old expressed his desire to see the Australian cricket team touring Pakistan.
The security has been top-notch here and there is no reason why the Australian team should not visit Pakistan. I guess it will be up to the two boards to figure out when and where that should take place.
Dunk, who has played 5 T20Is for Australia, recalled the moments when the two teams used to take on each other in good old days.

Govt to Complete Imported Car Verification Within 3 Days

The government in a bid to help facilitate the people and curb processing delays has issued various orders including the issuance of verification certification of vehicles that have been imported within 3 working days of the letter being issued by the Motor Registering Authority (MRA).
As per the information available, the procedure for issuance of verification reports on imported cars takes 6-9 months. A special desk has been set up at Karachi West Customs Collectorate which will receive applications from MRAs from all provinces and deliver them on time. A verification Appraising Officer has been empowered to continue processing the application complete with credentials on the same day after the Dal Receipt Officer (DRO) sends it to them.

Authorities Are Supplying Unsafe Water to Citizens of Islamabad

The residents of Islamabad have been consuming hazardous water for the past few months. This was revealed in a letter written by the Water Quality Control Cell (WQCC) to the director water supply Municipal Corporation Islamabad (MCI).
The letter identified that the water being supplied to the people of the federal capital from Simly Dam, Saidpur and Shangla is not being chlorine-treated for bacteria.
The letter highlighted that all attempts of the cell to divert the MCI’s attention towards this severe issue went unnoticed.

Petrol Prices to Drop By Rs. 20-25 Soon: Reports

According to media reports, a slash in the prices of petroleum products is expected with a PKR20-25 decrease in the price of petrol. This follows as the world reels from the plunge in oil prices as Saudi Arabia and Russia continue their price war.
The investors are eyeing the chances of economic stimulus due to this.
Nadeem Babar, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum said that the decrease in prices around the globe will boost the economy of Pakistan aside from easing inflation and other economic hardships faced by the average man.

Jazz CEO Vows to End Workplace Bias in Strong Women’s Day Message

Jazz CEO Aamir Hafeez Ibrahim sent a strong and honest message about the poor state of women’s workplace inclusion in Pakistan ahead of Women’s Day.
