183 Buildings in Rawalpindi Could Collapse Due to Monsoon

After the start of the monsoon, Rawalpindi’s civic agencies have declared 183 old buildings and certain cantonment areas ‘dangerous’. Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC) has declared 83 buildings dangerous and the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) declared 100 buildings unsafe after conducting a survey of the old and dilapidated buildings in the city. Forty-five of these buildings were marked ‘most dangerous’ by the agencies, and they have issued notices to the residents to either vacate or reconstruct them. Pakistan’s Trade Deficit Widens by 34% in FY2021

The country’s trade deficit had widened by 34.10 percent to $31.057 billion during the fiscal year (July-June) 2020-21 as compared to $23.159 billion during the same period of 2019-20, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS). The trade data released by the PBS shows that Pakistan’s exports had grown by 18.11 percent to $25.268 billion during July-June 2020-21 from $21.394 billion against the corresponding period last year. Overseas Pakistanis Have Sent $1.6 Billion Through RDA’s

Overseas Pakistanis have remitted approximately $1.6 billion through Roshan digital accounts (RDAs) in less than one year, according to the State Bank of Pakistan. Since its launch by the Prime Minister of Pakistan on 10 September 2020, the RDAs have gained a significant amount of interest among overseas Pakistanis.
