Huawei Mate 40 Will be 50% Faster Than Mate 30 Thanks to New 5nm Chip: Rumor

The Huawei Mate 40 is still months away from being announced but we’re already getting leaks about the upcoming flagship device. Early details have revealed that the Mate 40 will pack the world’s first 5nm SoC, the Kirin 1020.
As the name suggests, the Kirin 1020 chipset will be the next-generation successor to the Kirin 990 SoC currently found in Huawei’s latest flagships. This new SoC will be built on the Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) 5nm EUV process. It is also expected to be up to 50% faster than the Kirin 990 found on Huawei’s current flagship phones.
Rumor has it that TSMC has the biggest collection of factories for 5nm chip production and they will be commencing mass production in the first half of 2020.

British Woman Credits a Huawei Smartphone for Saving Her Life

A British woman from Lancaster was saved thanks to a Huawei smartphone.
Beth McDermott, a 42-year-old, lives alone and had an accident at home. She tripped and fell from a flight of stairs and hit her head which knocked her unconscious for three days.
When she woke up, she couldn’t move due to her injuries and due to rhabdomyolysis, a condition where damaged muscles break down rapidly and release myoglobin, it made it hard to move. If left untreated it can lead to kidney failure, which can be fatal.
The Huawei Y6 (2019) she had purchased three days ago was with her when she regained consciousness. She feared that the battery might have died after three days but was surprised to see that it still had 50% left. Thus, she managed to call emergency services and was picked up by the ambulance and successfully recovered within a week.
She said:
It was the most horrible experience of my life. I can’t believe I’m still alive. I wouldn’t be if it weren’t for that phone. I wasn’t expecting ..

Uber drivers have constantly complained about having to drive dozens of strangers every day with a lack of health insurance and benefits amidst the coronavirus outbreak. The situation has left a vast majority of drivers and delivery workers extremely anxious about their health and safety.
As a response, the company is now considering ways to compensate its drivers amidst the outbreak, although it doesn’t explain how it will do it. The statement says:
Our global team tasked with handling its response to the outbreak is exploring compensation for drivers who have been quarantined or diagnosed with coronavirus, whether independently, through a fund, or in partnership with peer companies.
The statement comes largely due to a letter sent by Virginia’s Senator Mark Warner expressing concern over how the company needs to take steps..
