Fawad Chaudhry Congratulates Usman Mukhtar

Not many people know that actor Usman Mukhtar is passionate about filmmaking. Long before he debuted on TV with his most popular drama serials, ‘Anaa and Sabaat’, he had wanted to get into production, but lack of support from family led him to study journalism.
He didn’t give up, though, while he started acting in amateur theatre plays, he also produced and directed his own short films and music videos, aided by his close friends. Later, he famously starred in ‘Janaan’ (2016) and ‘Parchi’ (2018), both immensely successful feature films, but he’s yet to direct one.
Meanwhile, he has set a new benchmark for aspiring filmmakers in Pakistan, with his new short, titled ‘Bench’, which was recently adjudged the Best Short Film at New York’s 2nd South Shore Film Festival.

The festival was due to begin on July 25, as a regular event, with red-carpet screenings of finalists in local cinemas followed by an awards ceremony, but it was cancelled due to the worsening Covid-19 situation in the US.

Samsung to Introduce a New S Pen For Galaxy Fold 3

Rumors suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 would feature the S Pen for the first time in the Fold lineup. Since that did not happen, the speculation has now moved on to the upcoming Z Fold 3 for 2021, though reports say that Samsung will need to switch to a different technology.

The Galaxy Note series uses the Electro-Magnetic Resonance (EMR) technology for its S Pens that allows for low latency and high accuracy compared to the older Active Electrostatic Solution (AES) styluses. EMR is also generally cheaper.

However, Samsung reportedly ran into problems integrating EMR with Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) on its latest foldable, which is why it had to drop the S Pen on the Fold 2. Unless these issues are fixed with newer models, reports believe that Samsung will be switching to AES for the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Saba Qamar, Ali Zafar Will Appear In Shoaib Akhtar’s Biopic

A biopic on the life of popular Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar is coming soon which will show us how he lived his life. The name of the actor who is playing the role of Shoaib Akhtar has not been revealed yet and it has been kept secret because it will be a surprise for the audience.
One and only super talented actress and model Saba Qamar will also become part of the Shoaib Akhtar’s biopic.
Along with Saba Qamar, another actor and singer Ali Zafar will be seen in the movie.
Wali Hamid Ali Khan who is known as a singer and actor is also included in the list of actors who will be featured in the biopic.
The film based on Shoaib Akhtar’s life will be directed by Faraaz Qaisar and its 60% shooting will be done in Pakistan. The remaining part of the movie will be recorded in foreign countries.

PSL Matches and Pakistan-Zimbabwe T20I’s Are Not Happening in Lahore

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the decision to move the remaining PSL 5 matches to Karachi and the T20I series between Pakistan and Zimbabwe to Rawalpindi. The matches were previously set to be played in Lahore, but due to the situation of smog in the city the matches have been shifted.

PCB had hinted at the move earlier but announced the decision after thoroughly reviewing the situation in the city.

Since the trailer was released, Jalan has been a controversial part as the plot has issues and the public has not accepted it. Fans and followers are again frustrated by the death of Misha, Areeba Habib’s beloved character. When she and her sister Nisha heard the news of their husband’s death, she tried to commit suicide.
In an interview with Galaxy Lollywood, Areeba Habib said she responded to her character’s death in Jalan Drama serial.

Samsung Resolves Galaxy S20 FE’s Display Problems

Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE) is the cheapest model in the flagship Galaxy S20 series that brings a few compromises in terms of specs but at a lower price. Some early adopters reported that they were facing display issues with the device, but fortunately, Samsung has now fixed those with a new software update.

The display issues these devices were facing had to do with touch input. While some had to deal with ghost touches, others reported that their screens were unresponsive to taps or swipes or were not responding to any touch at all. However, Samsung is now rolling out a new software update for Galaxy S20 FE units worldwide that reportedly fixes this issue. It is available for both the 4G Exynos versions and the 5G Snapdragon 865 models for the device.

PITB is Developing Punjab Labor App for Small Businesses

The Punjab Labour & Human Resource Department (PL&HRD) is going to introduce a mobile application for the registration of small businesses across the province.
The app will be developed with the help of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)
This was announced during a recent meeting with PL&HRD Secretary Ahmed Javed Qazi in the chair. The participants were briefed on the salient features of the application by PITB Additional Director Saima Sheikh.
Speaking on occasion, Javed Qazi underscored the need for automation in government institutions and directed the officials to ensure the development of the application on an immediate basis.
