Sania Mirza is an Indian tennis star and she is loved equally in both Pakistan and India. She was married to cricketer Shoaib Malik and she always got a lot of respect and appreciation in Pakistan. In the latest fiasco surrounding Shoaib’s second marriage to actress Sana Javed and his divorce from Sania Mirza, she received a lot of support from Pakistan as well. She recently spoke to BBC Urdu and touched upon a lot of topics related to loss, criticism and motherhood.
Talking about the turning point in her life that changed her understanding, Sania said that one has to come to terms with the fact that not everyone will like you. Even your own family members will not like you and in her case it is millions and millions of people who will have something to say. You just need to learn to be okay with it and move on.

Sania also spoke about how motherhood has changed her. She said that after Izhaan she has become more patient. A child teaches you to be more patient and less impulsive and that is what Izhaan has brought into her life.
