Bahrain Also Suspends Travel From Pakistan

The Kingdom of Bahrain has suspended the entry of travelers from red list countries including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal for an indefinite period starting from Monday (today), 24 May 2021.

According to Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs, the decision has been taken in line with the Government Executive Committee directives and on the recommendations of the National Medical Taskforce for Combatting COVID-19.

The order excludes Bahraini citizens and residency visa holders from these countries, however, they will still have to show an approved negative COVID-19 PCR test result not more than 48 prior to the boarding of their flight to the Kingdom.

These citizens would have to take another PCR test on arrival and on the tenth day of stay as well as, quarantine themselves for ten days in their residence or at a licensed quarantine facility approved by the National Health Regulatory Authority.

Passengers arriving from other than the red list countries also need to fulfill the same requirements as mentioned above for arriving and staying in the Kingdom, however, if they are vaccinated they are exempted from quarantine and PCR test requirements.
