The recent motorway incident has shocked and scared everyone, from women to children, no one feels safe in Pakistan. Countrywide protests are going on and people from every walk of life are joining in. Similarly, Pakistani celebrities of the entertainment industry came out on the roads of Karachi to protest Press Club.
Celebrities including, Ayesha Omar, Mansha Pasha, Mahira Khan, Aijaz Aslam, Adnan Siddiqui, Hajar Yamin, Muneeb Butt, Ali Rehman, Yasir Hussain, Frieha Altaf, Wajahat Rauf, Sarwat Gilani, Fahad Mirza and many others raised their voice.
Mahira Khan in the interview said that rapists think that they are powerful and they can commit crimes. It’s like a power dynamic which we need to understand. Further, she said that it is up to the law and they can decide better punishment for the rapists.
